Chef Cris Sanchez is the culinary creative mind orchestrating our Culinary empanada project, with 20 years of experience and two Michelin stars under his belt. Leading culinary teams worldwide, he is known for his innovative approach to food.
He has developed and worked on projects such as alternative proteins, food fermentation labs, and groundbreaking food products now available in the global market.
Chef Cris has even created food products using protein extracted from the air. His unwavering passion for food and expertise are the driving forces behind the exceptional flavors found in our empanadas.
But Cris doesn't embark on this journey alone. His wife, Deya, is an integral part of the Cielito Empanadas team. With 15 years of food industry experience and a background of leadership in commercializing outstanding meat analog products globally, Deya ensures that every dish we create makes complete sense for our customers.
Her expertise in crafting food that not only tastes amazing but also aligns with our values is unparalleled.

Our Blue Bus, a vintage VW food truck, takes our handmade empanadas to your door making it a unique delivery experience ensuring an off-the-brick oven taste.
